Susan Ayres is the owner of AHA CPR Now.
She began teaching for the American Red Cross in the 1960’s as a life guard and water safety instructor.
Susan started teaching for the American Heart Association in 2003 at Southwest Washington Medical Center, training staff, as well as public education classes sponsored by Southwest. She started her own CPR certification business in 2004, teaching AHA courses such as Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Heartsaver First Aid, Friends and Family CPR, CPR and AED, and Pediatric First Aid with Adult/Child/Infant CPR.
Susan has a significant amount of hands on experience in CPR and AED, working 14 years at Southwest Washington Medical Center (Now Peacehealth).Susan also taught to parents, Infant CPR before being allowed to discharge from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital with a newborn at risk.
In 2013, Susan was hired by the American Heart Association National Headquarters out of Dallas Texas where she teaches nationally, as well as throughout the Pacific Northwest for her own business. Among her certifications are ‘Basic EKG Interpretation’; ‘Advanced 12 lead EKG course’; ‘Spot a Stroke Train the Trainer’; ‘BLS Science Updates for American Heart Association Instructors for 2005 and 2010’.Susan renews her American Heart Association Instructors certifications every two years.
Susan has spent the last 12 years passionate about educating people to save lives. Susan teaches in a comfortable, stress free atmosphere, where her warm, friendly and entertaining personality makes her classes enjoyable.
