Eric Bjorkman Lives in Vancouver, Washington and has been an avid birdwatcher since 1997.
nbsp; Currently, Eric is President of Vancouver Audubon Society. He combines his love for travel with his appreciation of birds, spending time in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Uganda, India, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Trinidad & Tobago.
In addition, he travels North America extensively which has allowed him a combined total of nearly 2000 different species of birds seen worldwide. In 2012, Eric and his wife participated in a “Big Year” competition and recorded 360 species seen within the borders of the state of Washington, besting the previous record of 359.
Eric has volunteered with banding programs of Red Crossbills, Sandhill Cranes, and has participated in snake surveys in Klickitat County. Spending several days tagging great white sharks with a study team ranks as his favorite wildlife experience.
