Vegetable Gardening

Now is the time to plan out and plant your own gorgeous, nutrient-dense veggies! An enthusiastic master gardener will cover a myriad of topics including organic vs. conventional, raised beds, choosing plants vs. seeds, heirloom varieties, soil preparation, fertilizing, spacing, and planting for a continuous harvest.

Spring is the perfect time to plant flowers! Our region offers fantastic growing conditions for annual and perennial flowers and bulbs. Learn all about planting—choosing the right type for the right spot as well as how to plant for an attractive garden design. Explore how to best care for them at planting and after they bloom. Explore ideas for using cut flowers from the garden. Understand pest control, storage ideas and troubleshooting common problems regarding flowers.

Flower Arranging: Spring

Spring is the rebirth of life through flowers! Stacey will offer techniques for designing arrangements using your garden flowers. May blooms with lilacs, azaleas, rhodies,irises and peonies. Both demo and hands on arranging will be part of the class, you will take home your garden creations! Learn all about summer blooming to take advantage of seasonal flowers. See some creative ideas for using unexpected containers to show off your beautiful flowers.
