Class - Religious Change in the West
Religious Change in the West
The entirety of the Western world is facing a period of major religious as well as cultural and geo-political change. The possible causes and implications of this change will be examined as we try to understand how and why heretofore established religious traditions may face a changed future along with the rise of non-Christian and pre-Christian religions in Western nations.

Instructor: Gunnar Abramson
Gunnar Abramson is a local historian with far-reaching interests which run the gamut
from Military, Political, and Religious History to languages, philosophy, music, and
antique militaria. He is currently completing a book on the early Japanese Diaspora
in the Pacific NW in keeping with his former academic focus on East Asia and a more
recent interest in local histories. The latter has encouraged his community involvement
in his local historical society. He enjoys teaching and connecting with the past -
both the broad strokes and the minutia - through research, discussion, and engaging
with his students.
