Instructor: Scotty Parrish
After graduating from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon, Scotty worked as a pastry Chef at Elephant's Delicatessan and as a bread baker under Greg Mistell at Pearl Bakery. After a year in the Marianas Islands, he returned to Olympia, Washington where he was the executive chef and general manager of a small Lebanese restaurant. He is currently a food safety instructor for Washington State University Extension where he teaches classes in retail food safety and produce safety for agricultural workers. He is a Certified Food Protection Manager, ServSafe Instructor, Produce Safety Alliance Trainer and Master Food Preserver.
