Instructor: Earl Frederick
Chef Frederick has nearly 15 years of experience as an executive chef, culinary arts instructor, kitchen manager, and catering chef. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, with an A.A.S. in Culinary Arts. He also holds degrees from Warner Pacific College in Portland, OR (bachelor’s in Business Administration) and Oregon Culinary Institute (A.A.S. in Baking and Pastry Arts). This background of education and experience led to chef positions with Walt Disney World, Job Corps, Club Med, Nike and Intel. Chef Frederick is also a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and is a Certified ServSafe instructor and proctor through the National Restaurant Association. He is also on the Vancouver Farmer’s Market Board of Directors and is a Certified Culinary Arts Instructor for the State of Washington Community and Technical Colleges. He is also co-founder of The Portland Kitchen, a free program teaching culinary skills, social skills and healthy disciplines to teens.
