Cyndie Meyer is a program coordinator at Clark County Public Health, where she leads the county’s effort to prevent and mitigate childhood adversity and trauma. She educates the community on this topic and leads coalitions including the ACEs Action Alliance and Faith-Based Coffee groups to build individual, family, and community resilience through policy, environmental, and systems change.
Cyndie has more than 35 years of experience in health care with a combined focus on patient care and public relations. She served as manager of nutrition services at PeaceHealth Southwest (then Southwest Washington Medical Center) and later served as the manager of marketing and public relations for the hospital. She was a consultant for Community Choices, a local non-profit coalition, where she led a community workgroup to address healthier vending which resulted in the nationwide Fit Pick Healthy Vending program. Earlier in her career, Cyndie served as director of nutrition and foodservice at community hospitals in Oregon and California, and was a marketing manager with Baxter, Inc., Warner Lambert, and Caremark Homecare. She owned her own business for more than seven years, providing both nutrition and public relations services to health care clients.
Cyndie earned two degrees through Washington State University; a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and management and a Bachelor of Arts in humanities, focusing on media communications. She was honored as WSU Vancouver Student Leader in 2014, Distinguished Alumna in 2015, and was a member of Leadership Clark County class of 2016.
