There are many that will be excellent.
You will not use standard watercolor paper for this because of the sizing in the paper.
Watercolors, water based markers and pencils
The watercolors can be in tubes, pans or liquid dye form.
Some good brands to consider are
• Winsor & Newton
• Dr. Martin’s
• Dick Blick
You might also want to work with some watercolor pencils and markers. Caran d’Ache makes terrific watercolor pencils and woodless pencils that work very well with this method.
All of your usual brushes and mark making supplies will be useful for this work.
If you are new to watercolor itself then you will need a small assortment of soft bristled watercolor brushes. Nylon or natural hair (sable, mink, ox etc.) work well, but do not spend a lot of money at this juncture.
