Hal Abrams is the Vice President of Development for Clark College Foundation.
He has twenty years of fundraising experience that began with City of Hope Medical Center, UC Berkeley, and the University of Oregon. Most recently Hal served as Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Lewis & Clark College and then served as a national fundraising consultant with Grenzebach Glier & Associates. He left his first career as an estate planning attorney in San Francisco to become a planned giving fundraiser. After serving in this capacity with City of Hope, UC Berkeley and University of Oregon, he expanded his experiences by overseeing major gift fundraising for the athletic department at UO. In addition, Hal has served on numerous regional planned giving boards and is a regular speaker at planned giving and estate planning conferences.
Hal was born and raised in Southern California. He attended UCLA for his undergraduate degree, the University of San Francisco for his law degree, and Golden Gate University to receive an LL.M. (masters in taxation). Hal is married and has three children ages 19, 17 and 15. Hal is a sports enthusiast, following most team sports and still running and playing basketball, tennis and golf.
