Christine has a B.
. in Botany from University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Ph.D. in Paleobotany
from Cornell University, and a more recent M.S. in Biostatistics from the University
of Texas School of Public Health. After years in the oil industry in oil exploration
and later in Environment, Health and Safety, she worked as a statistician at Baylor
College of Medicine and the Veterans Administration.
Christine moved to Portland in the fall of 2016 after taking early retirement from a medical research center in Houston, Texas. She chose Portland for its mild summer and winter weather, and its great opportunities for outdoor activities - hiking, cross country skiing, kayaking, camping. Chris recently became an outings leader with the Sierra Club.
