Jay teaches archaeology and cultural anthropology for Clark College's Department of Anthropology.
Anthropology combines the rigorous discipline of science, a big picture perspective (global, past, present, and future), yet a focus on humans and our interconnectedness with the rest of the natural world. Jay's PhD research at Washington State University explored hunter-gatherers (historically called "pygmies") of the Congo Basin. He enjoys sharing the wonders of humanity with students, and engaging in public education projects.
