John Mitchell is a faculty member at Clark College Mathematics whose interest in mindfulness began with taking a course seven years ago.
It had a transformative effect on how he approached every area of life – enough so that he began researching how he could bring mindfulness skills to his college community. As part of his research, he is connected with other mindfulness researchers in schools and colleges across the U.S. and beyond. He regularly runs workshops and courses on mindfulness, and is currently exploring how mindfulness can help students, both generally in their studies, and specifically with areas such as math anxiety. He is currently in the Koru teacher training program, and is proud to be part of a network of passionate, committed mindfulness teachers.
